Jesko von Windheim, Chief Executive Officer
Jesko von Windheim is CEO at Nextreme, Inc. He helped spin Nextreme out of RTI International, where he was Entrepreneur in Residence and VP of Commercialization. Prior to joining RTI, Jesko was integral to numerous spin-offs from MCNC, Corp. (also a research organization), the most recent of which was Cronos Integrated Microsystems which sold to JDS Uniphase. At Cronos Jesko was VP of Marketing and Business development and he later ran the business unit as General Manager for JDS Uniphase. Jesko holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and physics, a master's degree and a Ph.D. in physical chemistry, and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler business school.
James Mundell, MBA, Senior Vice President & General Manager
James (Jim) J. Mundell is Senior Vice President & General Manager of Nextreme, Inc. He has 27 years of senior executive experience with P & L experience in semiconductor, microelectronics, medical devices and electronic systems manufacturing serving the computer, medical, military, and commercial markets. Jim has held executive positions such as COO, VP GM, and VP of International Operations with GE, Harris, CTS, SCI Systems, and various early stage technology companies such as CBA, Volumetrics Medical Imaging, and Trivirix International. Jim received his MS in Industrial Administration (MBA) from Purdue University's Krannert School of Management and his BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University.
Richard Scott, CPA, MBA, Chief Financial Officer
Richard Scott is Chief Financial Officer at Nextreme, Inc. Rick has over 25 years of executive financial management experience. He has held CFO and financial leadership positions at Cronos Integrated Microsystems, Insite Clinical Trials, Dentalcare Partners, Sparta Pharmaceuticals and Compuchem Corporation. Rick has raised over $100 million in capital for start-up companies and $800 million in sale of two firms. He is a certified public accountant in North Carolina and Ohio. Rick received his MBA from Wharton School of Finance and Commerce and his BS in business administration and mathematics from Tusculum College.
Dave Koester, MS, Vice President of Engineering 
David Koester is VP of Engineering for Nextreme, Inc. David has over 15 years experience in semiconductor technology and product development focused primarily in the fabrication and manufacturing of semiconductors and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). He has been responsible for product development in numerous areas including optical and wireless communications, biomedical device applications, and various sensing devices. David has held key technical and managerial positions with MCNC, Cronos Integrated Microsystems, JDS Uniphase, MEMSCAP, Inc. and RTI International. David received a MS from North Carolina State University in materials science and a BS from Iowa State University in ceramic engineering.
Dr. Paul A. Magill, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development
Dr. Paul Magill is the VP of Marketing and Business Development for Nextreme, Inc. Dr. Magill has more than 20 years of experience in the electronics and optoelectronics industry with expertise in sensors and laser diode applications as well as electronics and MEMS packaging and manufacturing. Dr. Magill is an experienced entrepreneur who has a track record in founding and building technology companies including Unitive Electronics Inc., Optical Process Automation, and more recently Avo Photonics. Dr. Magill holds a BS and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of North Carolina.
